Preliminary Extensive Support Needs Credential: Multiple Subjects Classroom

This credential prepares candidates to teach students with a range of learning challenges including autism, moderate-to-severe intellectual disability, multiple disabilities, emotional disturbance, and deaf-blindness. Teachers with this credential are approved to teach in grades K-12 and in adult classes.
This program shares core courses with the Preliminary Multiple Subjects and the Mild/Moderate Support Needs programs. Please see the Pathways to Multiple Credentials program to see what is needed to earn more than one credential.

Additional Admissions Requirements
Admission standards for graduate studies at California Baptist University can be found in the admissions section of the University Catalog. In addition, each candidate must meet the following requirements for this program:
- Pass the state-administered California Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST) or equivalent prior to admission
- Met or registered for at least one subtest of the California State Exam (CSET) for the planned credential content area or equivalent
- Verification of Certificate of Clearance granted prior to admission
