The Division of Arts and Letters consists of three departments: Communication Arts, History and Government, and Modern Languages and Literature.  Most of our programs are rooted in traditional disciplines that have stood the test of time in academia, and we also equip our students with the necessary tools for today’s global market while training them in the skills they need to conquer the challenges of tomorrow.

Faculty Information

Communication is a foundational skill in all sectors of the professional world. And, in a rapidly shifting environment, there has never been a more critical need for excellent communicators.

Our BA programs in Public Relations, Communication Studies, Jounalism & New Media, and Strategic Communication integrate deep conceptual knowledge with strong practical experience through close collaboration with faith-based faculty mentors whose influence stretches from scholarly research to creative communication production. As a result, students do more than master the technical skills of the discipline-they learn to think critically about the way messages are created, conveyed and consumed in modern society. To further expand conceptual knowledge and skills, we offer a MA in Strategic Communication online.
