Admission Requirements
Master of Science in Higher Education Leadership and Student Development Admission Requirements
Admission standards for graduate studies at California Baptist University can be found in the Admissions section of the University Catalog. Specific admission requirements for the graduate programs in Higher Education Leadership and Student Development are listed below.
- Grade Point Average
- A minimum 3.0 GPA for unconditional admission and a minimum 2.75 GPA for conditional admission
- Applicants who do not meet the minimum GPA may be considered for admission with relevant and successful work experience
- Comprehensive Essay of at least 500 words that includes the following elements:
- Purpose for entering the program
- Reasons for choosing to study at California Baptist University
- Acceptance by the director of the graduate program

Program Requirements (40 units)
This program has been designed to prepare individuals for positions of leadership and service in higher education. Graduates of this
program will demonstrate the ability to successfully guide personnel and programs toward institutional objectives. The program also
provides candidates with an essential framework for understanding college student development, and will equip candidates with the
skills needed to support and encourage student growth. |
