The songwriting degree trains students to be agile and adaptable creators of unique musical works in the 21st century. To fully prepare students for success in the current and emerging music industry, students are trained in an immersive and integrated program-musically, technologically, and entrepreneurially.

Traditional Major Program Requirements (87 Units)


General Education Requirements (40-55 Units)

The General Education requirements will follow the curriculum set forth for other University degree programs. Sixteen (16) units of G.E. requirements will be met through the specific coursework of the Songwriting major. See School of Performing Arts Undergraduate Handbook for details.
