The practicum experience allows students the opportunity to refine assessment adult and older adults with psychiatric mental health illnesses, development of differential diagnoses, disease management, implementing psychotherapy, and health promotion interventions. 4 units = 180 hours of supervised clinical practice with a preceptor.
