NUR 573 - Family Nurse Practitioner II

Students explore a theoretical foundation for the FNP role specific to pediatric populations. Students will focus on health promotion, disease prevention, assessment, diagnosis and management of common acute and chronic pediatric illnesses, behavioral health, and patient/family education in primary care. Emphasis is placed on ethical and legal issues, collaborative partnership, and development of family-centered, culturally sensitive healthcare delivery in primary care.
